Findaway World turned seven years old today! On June 15, 2004, 5 native Clevelanders created our Core Values, launched our first product, and became our first Findawayers. Our Findawayer family has grown, and our success has skyrocketed; yet, our values remain the same. And although “Ice Cream Sundaes” is not one of our seven Core Values, “Exceeding Expectations” is. Believe us…these birthday sundaes (complete with a table full of toppings!) definitely surpassed our wildest dreams. Here’s to many more happy and healthy years.

Spring Fever Cornhole Tournament
What better way to *finally* celebrate the sunshine than with a company-wide Cornhole Tournament? Some of us have played for years, while others picked up bags for the first time for the sake of the game. Regardless of age or experience, once the brackets were posted, the energy was palpable and the competition was fierce. We’re proud of our winners, and are sure that many more games will be played on our Findaway-branded boards in the upcoming months :)

The Wait is Over!
On May 16, 2011, Findawayers celebrated the launch of Playaway View. Amidst prized-filled balloons, tasty food, and Spin It to Win It (a game invented by our savvy creative group for trade shows), we all shared a tangible anticipation for the product to get out there in the world! We love it. Our trial libraries loved it. You’ll love it too.

Fresh Fork
We’re a local, Cleveland company, so let’s eat local, Cleveland-grown food! Findaway World is partnering with Fresh Fork Market to connect with in-season, artisanal (tasty!) food. Findawayers can participate in Fresh Fork’s CSA to receive weekly packages, full of farm-to-fork vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and more. We’re looking forward to fueling our bellies with these fresh ingredients.

Growth Pursued
One of our seven core values at Findaway World is for Findawayers to “Pursue Growth,” whether it be personal or professional. We’re also growing in numbers, and we needed more space! So in January of 2011, we began construction on an additional space to house our ever-growing team. As of February 1st, Building 2 is the new home for our Product Development and Innovation, Information Technology and Business Development teams.
